In my role, I oversee core operational processes and take responsibility for driving the business as we pursue our strategic objectives and goals. I’m involved in many areas of the business, including claims, finance, marketing, and business development, as well as building and maintaining key strategic relationships.
Outside of work, I enjoy watching and playing a wide variety of sports, including football, golf, skiing, and running. I also value spending quality time with family and friends.
Keir Cox
Director of Operations
In my role, I manage daily operations, statistical reporting, and support the board with key decisions on operations and recruitment. I’m especially active in the underwriting department, providing crucial support in risk assessment and quote production.
In my spare time, I enjoy music—both listening and playing guitar, along with a bit of golf, travelling, good food, and spending quality time with my wife and daughter.
Rory Tebbutt
Sales Director
My role here at Purbeck on a day-to-day is to undertake underwriting duties and support our wider underwriting and business development management team. I started at Purbeck in 2017 as a junior-underwriter and have climbed the ranks to Sales Director, being heavily involved in Purbeck's strategy and daily operations.
Outside of work, I'm an avid boxer and gamer, spending free time either in the boxing gym or at home on my PS5. I, like a few at Purbeck, am also a DJ specialising in electro and house!
Colin Davison
Executive Director
Colin set up Abbey Tax Protection in December 1996 alongside Abbey Legal Protection and became CEO of the Group in 2004 as a part of a MBO that he orchestrated.
Colin helped integrate Abbey into Markel and left the company in 2018, but retained an excellent relationship with the senior personnel at Markel.
Colin's passion is small businesses and he has invested in a number of start ups which has included Purbeck (UK) Limited which his son, Todd, is a major shareholder and Managing Director. Colin considers Todd to have far more abilities than he has himself and he is a proud father of Todd and what he has achieved at Purbeck. Markel is the underwriter of Purbeck businessDean Cox

Nick Linacre
Claims Manager
In my role, I help clients navigate difficult periods within their businesses, providing dedicated support and guidance. My focus is on delivering an excellent service, assessing each client’s situation, and advising on the best course of action moving forward.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about fitness and anything related to cars. I also enjoy snowboarding and mountain biking.
Emily Bird
Administration Manager
In my role, I handle general administration tasks such as issuing invoices, arranging direct debits, and managing relevant documents. I also lead the administration team, overseeing staff supervision, development, and leadership.
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym and spa, spending time with friends and family, and visiting nice restaurants with a good cocktail menu! I also love to travel and tick off new holiday destinations.
Shelby Lucid
Underwriting Manager
In my role as Underwriting Manager at Purbeck Insurance, I oversee the assessment and approval of underwriting on insurance applications, ensuring decisions align with our risk appetite and underwriting standards. I lead a team of underwriters, provide guidance on complex cases, and work closely with brokers and partners to deliver clear, fair, and timely outcomes.
Outside of work, I enjoy long walks, a good country pub and some nice cheese!
Alex Redpath-Potter
Underwriter
I engage with clients daily to understand their businesses, focusing on providing tailored personal guarantee insurance for commercial debts. My goal is to protect clients’ personal assets, helping them manage financial risks and concentrate on growing their businesses without the worry of personal liability.
Outside of work, I enjoy relaxing with the latest TV series and cooking Italian cuisine, often experimenting with new recipes. On weekends, I like to stay active by playing football, followed by a few beers to unwind.
Chloe Meadows
Underwriter
As the Underwriter, I specialise in assessing financial risk and making informed lending decisions. My work involves analyzing credit applications, reviewing financial statements, and ensuring that lending practices align with company policies and regulatory standards. I take pride in balancing sound risk management with supporting business growth and client needs.
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling to new places, discovering different cultures, and finding inspiration in global cuisines. I love cooking, often recreating dishes from my travels, and I unwind through videogames that spark creativity and strategy. I also enjoy walking my dog, which gives me the perfect opportunity to relax, recharge, and enjoy the outdoors.
Josh Harrington
Underwriter
As an Underwriter at Purbeck, I engage with clients to assess financial risk and support informed decision-making, ensuring lending practices align with company policies and regulatory standards. My aim is to help protect clients’ personal assets while enabling them to manage risk effectively and grow their businesses with confidence.
Outside of work, I enjoy travel, gaming and long walks that end with a well earnt beer at the pub!
James Potter
Senior Business Development Manager
In my day-to-day role, I connect with Directors and assist them in arranging their insurance applications. I also manage introducer accounts and ensure that all our business partners stay up to date with Purbeck’s materials and risk criteria.
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, listening to music, playing golf, and mountain biking. I’m passionate about travel and hope to explore more of the world in the near future.
Mike Crilly
Business Development Manager
In my role, I work closely with our broker relations, foster new business, and support SME business owners in mitigating their risks when it comes to signing a personal guarantee.
Outside of work, I manage several record labels and am also a DJ and producer. I’ve had the opportunity to play in many top venues around the world.
Josh Wilson
Business Development Manager
In my role, I’m responsible for identifying and contacting potential introducers, such as commercial finance and insurance brokers, while building and maintaining strong relationships. My work includes delivering product presentations, supporting introducers with client cases, and tracking leads through to policy completion.
Outside of work, I’ve competed in downhill skiing events across the UK, regularly go to the gym, and have a passion for travel, having explored a wide range of destinations.
Harry Hosier
Marketing Manager
As Marketing Manager, I am responsible for the day-to-day coordination and delivery of marketing activities that drive business growth and strengthen brand awareness. I manage the marketing plan, developing and delivering impactful campaigns across multiple channels, overseeing content and communications, and managing our digital presence through SEO, PPC and GEO. I work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure marketing activity is aligned with wider business objectives.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing rugby, golfing and spending time outside. My weekends are often filled with hiking, camping and cooking great food.
Heather Bruck
Claims Analyst
My role is to support clients through the claims process, providing a sympathetic ear and guidance should a business face financial difficulties or insolvency. I also manage claims administration, including bordereau reporting to Markel, and ensure files are well-organised and up to date.
In my spare time I love to spend time outdoors. I stay active through running and weightlifting, as well as taking long forest and riverside walks with my spaniel.

Jack Gloyer
Insurance Apprentice
As an apprentice, I'm currently rotating between departments, gaining the fundamental skills and knowledge required to become a key asset in any given area, all while completing my BPP Apprenticeship. My day-to-day responsibilities include handling incoming calls, scheduling appointments and dealing with any delegated tasks that come my way from the department I'm in.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active by going to the gym and playing golf whenever I get the chance. I also have a keen interest in travel, having explored a variety of destinations and cultures, and I look forward to discovering many more in the future.
